Registered participants presenting their work at SPEA9 as oral or poster communications will have the possibility to publish full papers in Special Issues of the following journals covering the research fields of the SPEA9 congress:

banniere catalysis today

banniere Photochemical

banniere ESPR

  • Catalysis Today - Specific Instructions Open or Close

    Managing and Guest Editors:

    • Dr. Sixto Malato, Managing Guest Editor (MGE)
    • Dr. Nicolas Keller
    • Dr. Pilar Fernández-Ibañez
    • Dr. Didier Robert

The articles should be written according to journal instructions (available at journal web pages), except for # IV (max. 7000 words, see opposite), which need to be strictly respected. Article should be through with Elsevier Editorial System (EES) service.

Please, specify in the STEP 1 ("Select an Article Type") that the article is for the Special Issue of 9TH EUROPEAN MEETING ON SOLAR CHEMISTRY AND PHOTOCATALYSIS: ENVIRONMENTAL APPLICATIONS (SPEA 9)".

A cover letter is needed where you should also include:

    • 2 contact authors per article and correct e-mail address.
    • 4 possible "referees" per article that you think are sufficiently capable of reviewing your article (name, e-mail, affiliation and complete address).

  • Photochemical & Photobiological Sciences - Specific Instructions Open or Close

The submitted papers will be subjected to the regular peer-reviewing procedures of the journals.

Special Issues General Guidelines

  • During the step of abstract submission, authors who have expressed their intention to submit their works to a 'Special Issue of 9th European meeting on Solar Chemistry and Photocatalysis: Environmental Applications (SPEA 9)' are welcome to proceed to the corresponding web sites of the preferred journals, following the links given below.

  • Registered authors will receive an invitation Letter confirming their status. Only registered authors who made their preliminary request together with the abstract submission will be allowed to submit to those journals.

  • FINAL DEADLINE for uploading manuscript will be June 30th 2016. No extension allowed.

  • VERY IMPORTANT: for Catalysis Today and Photochemical and Photobiological Sciences, no more than 7000 words equivalent (including abstract, text, figures, tables and references). Take into account that a figure or table is equivalent to 400 words. Lack of adherence to this limit will result in immediate rejection.

  • Papers will be submitted to regular peer reviewing upon submission. The manuscripts need to be of high novelty and the scientific content needs to be of high quality. The text needs to be original and should not contain any sections that have been previously published by the authors or other researchers in previous articles in the literature. The journals screen manuscripts for plagiarism (including self-plagiarism). The quality of figures and Tables needs to be excellent.

  • For other journal specific guidelines on manuscript preparation, please refer to the corresponding Guide for Authors of the appropriate publication.
